Sheremetyevo International Airport Announced Operating Results for January 2010

Sheremetyevo International Airport handled 1.207 million people in January 2010, which is 23.2% as much as in the same period of 2009 and 19% as much as in January 2008. Passenger traffic in international service totaled 816 000 people (+19%), domestic service—391 000 people (+33%). The airport handled 1321 tons of cargo and mail in the reported period, which is 21.6% as much as in the same period of 2009. The most popular routes were the following federal destinations: Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Vladivostok. The most popular international routes were Paris, Sharm el-Sheikh, Prague, Hurghada, Istanbul. The most popular CIS routes were Kiev, Yerevan, Almaty, Bishkek and Minsk.
