Launching new terminals proved to be the most significant factor behind the dynamics of passenger volume growth in Sheremetyevo. In particular, new Terminal E with the throughput capacity of 7 million passengers a year will use its capabilities to provide a broad range of services to passengers, clients and airlines in accordance with all strict requirements of the ACI. Terminal E provides the best possible conditions for all airlines and tour operators.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is one of the largest Russian airports. The airport Quality Management System is certified in accordance with ISO 9001: 2000 standard. Sheremetyevo is an international hub of SkyTeam Alliance. It also cooperates with airlines representing Oneworld Alliances and StarAlliance. By 2015 Sheremetyevo plans to have become the best airport hub in Europe in terms of passenger services.

ACI Europe is a regional division of ACI Global (Airports Council International). A total of 450 airports of 45 European countries including Russia are members of ACI Europe.

The main objectives of ACI Europe are: to represent interests of member airports, to assist them in their cooperation with airlines and other partners, to create conditions for successful performance of the entire sector. ACI Europe puts top priority on interaction with legislative and regulatory bodies, formulating the policy of the sector, and exchanging information in order to communicate the interests of member organizations to IATA, ICAO, the European Commission and Eurocontrol.
