Sheremetyevo International Airport’s Passenger Growth Hits High Record in January-July 2010

In January-July 2010, Sheremetyevo International Airport served 10.621 million people, which is 32.8% as much as in the same period of 2009.

International passenger traffic totaled 6.760 million people, which is 25.5% as much as in the same period of 2009, domestic passenger traffic—3.861 million people (+48.1%).

In July 2010, the airport handled 2.123 million people, which is 35.1% as much as in the same period of 2009. International passenger traffic totaled 1.349 million people (+26.4%), domestic passenger traffic—773 400 people (+53.5%).

In 2010, the airport records strong growth in passenger service. Sheremetyevo is among the leaders in terms of traffic growth (among the airports of Group 2 with the passenger traffic ranging from 10-25 million people) according to ACI Europe rating based on the operating results of H1 2010. This allowed Sheremetyevo to beat the airports of Antalya, Domodedovo and Tegel (Berlin).
